Lusaka is set to host the inaugural Zambia Institutional Investors Forum 2023 in April.  Under the theme; Harnessing Alternative Investment to Economic Recovery the Forum is scheduled for April 26th and 27th. The two-day conference will bring together various stakeholders to engage one another on various issues pertaining to contributing to the sustainable economic development of Zambia and Africa, through the attraction of new investment and maximizing its impact on the economy. Announced on this Wednesday 29 March 2023.

Zambia has been selected as the host country for this event as it is an increasingly popular investment destination demonstrating high-growth and is a politically stable country that has put in place various incentives to promote investment. Zambia’s economic freedom score is 47.8, making its economy the 158th freest in the 2023 Index.

The country takes pride in vibrant copper mining and processing, construction, foodstuffs, and beverage activities. In 2022, Zambia’s economy grew by 3.1 per cent, and it is ranked 4th richest country in Africa based on natural resources.

Zambia is also famous for pioneering the walking safari. Some say Zambia is the best kept secret in Africa, an undiscovered mecca for a variety of safari and game viewing activities. It is a raw slice of Africa, friendly and with many un-spoilt wild places worthy of any pioneer.

“Considering all the above qualities, we are excited and looking forward to bring the Institutional Investors Forum to Zambia,” says Michael Ndinisa, Founder and CEO of South African based MNCapital Group, adding that, “This is the third Forum of its kind we are convening this year, having successfully been to Zanzibar in February and in Namibia in March this year.”

This Forum has so far attracted the sponsorship of the Eastern and Southern African Trade and Development Bank (TDB), the financial arm of the Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA).

MNCapital Group is an Africa-focused investment communications firm synonymous with convening high-impact investment conferences, particularly for the large market actors, and is the convener of this particular gathering.

In the post-pandemic world, local, provincial and national governments across the world are intensifying their economic recovery and development efforts in order to significantly reduce socio-economic challenges that may or may not have been caused by the recent global pandemic, but have been exacerbated as a result. This Forum will present immense opportunities for institutional investors to uncover new investment opportunities and not only achieve desired return on investment, but also generate social impact.

Participants at this conference will have an opportunity to meet and engage key stakeholders and foster long-term partnerships, discover best practices presented by top industry thought-leaders. Those participating under the speaker category will present professional perspective on topics of their choice, in line with the conference theme. Participants will also network with senior decision-makers and key investment professionals and solidify existing business relations, and make new ones as well.

This conference will feature trustees’ special workshops to improve investment decision making.

The Zambia Institutional Investors Forum 2023 is one of a kind, and will attract guests, speakers, and sponsors from various industries across Africa.

“We also call upon like-minded interested sponsors, delegates and industry players to work with us and make this a success,” concludes Ndinisa.
