President Paul Kagame emphasized the importance of self-reliance, that Africa can compete in the world market, and achieve the goal of self-innovation.

In his opening remarks, President Kagame addressed about 2500, on Tuesday, February 25, 2025, who participated in the Second Conference on Inclusive Technologies used in banks and financial institutions, known as the Inclusive Fintech Forum (IFF).

“Our young people are proof that Africa can compete with the world and innovate. In recent years, the number of IT service providers has tripled. These companies have revolutionized the financial sector, particularly through mobile money transfers,” said President Kagame.

He added that the continent of Africa should take responsibility for its development, something that does not require others to come and do it.
In the past several years, companies that provide financial technology services have almost tripled.

“These companies have revolutionized the financial sector, particularly through mobile money transfers,” he said.
These institutions, whether small or large, continue to play a very important role in reforming the financial services sector.
There is a need for cooperation, for people to work as a team to build a better future.
